Apprenticeship Training for Surface Finishing

The AISF has a partnership arrangement with Murray Mallee Training Company, training will be offered to AISF members for apprentices and trainees in both Electroplating and Powder Coating.

Apprenticeship training will enable participants to receive on successful completion either:

Certificate III in Engineering – Production Systems (Electroplating)
Or
Certificate III in Engineering – Production Systems (Powdercoating)
(this is equivalent to C10 in the Metal, Engineering & Associated Industries Award)

Traineeship participants to receive on successful completion either:
Certificate II in Engineering – Production Systems Level 1 (Electroplating)
Or
Certificate II in Engineering- Production Systems Level 1 (Powdercoating)
(this is equivalent to C12 in the Metal, Engineering & Associated Industries Award)

Training will take the form of both “on-the-job” and “off-the-job” training. The “on-the-job” training will be done with a supervisor or manager, and the “off-the job” training will take place at the AISF office in Collingwood, with an industry expert delivering the training.

Training will be aligned with the National Metal and Engineering Industry Competency Standards, and on completion a Nationally Recognised and Accredited Statement of results and Certificate is issued.
